Miniatures
In December 2006, Franklin donated one of his kidneys to a special
artist, Lena Gardelli <see link page>. As a grateful gesture,
Lena told all of her friends about Franklin and encouraged them
to buy his artwork. Realizing that everyone's art budget is
different, Franklin started to paint miniature paintings so
that all of her friends who wanted to support his artistic ambitions
could afford to do such. The paintings were a success. Franklin
continues to paint miniatures and includes them in his art shows.
Each one is handpainted and is unique in brushwork. Since he
paints five of each composition at a time, each piece stays
consistent in appearance yet is never quite identical.
